Mahi raranga wasn't something instilled in me growing up, although my Mum and Aunties wove kete.  I was a natural crafter, weaving macrame, making jewellery, dolls, and knitting and crocheting.

Initially I was drawn to raranga kakahu as another craft to learn. It became a passion. The ideas that can be created. I love one off peices. Weaving fulfill my creativity, my happy place.  I can relax, unwind and go with whatever comes up. Whaiora is a great fit for me, I feel it's one of my areas of expertise.  Our weaving wananga is an opportunity to share our craft and to help others realise their potential.

Nga mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
